Hardy Half
The Hardy Half is a pair of trail races that run through countryside associated with the writer Thomas Hardy. The event starts and finishes at Dorchester Rugby Club, Coburg Road, DT1 2HX, where an event village provides food and refreshment after the runs.
Two distance options are offered:
- Half Hardy Half: 5 miles (ish)
- Original Hardy Half: approximately 13.1 miles (ish)
The majority of the courses are on trail with some challenging terrain. The half marathon route includes around 1400 ft of elevation gain. Road sections will be closed for the race and there will be entertainment along the routes. Entries from both distances raise funds for local good causes.
The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on 10/05/2026. Standard entry fees fall in the range of £19 to £29 depending on the chosen distance and entry period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
