Hardy Half
The Hardy Half is a trail-running event in Dorset taking place on 9 May 2027, based at Dorchester Rugby Club, Coburg Road, DT1 2HX. The event features predominantly off-road routes through rolling countryside and rural trails.
Distances included:
- 5 miles : The Half Hardy Half, a shorter trail distance.
- 13.1 miles : The Original Hardy Half, a half marathon distance with about 1,400 feet of climbing.
The half marathon route combines varied trails and significant elevation gain. The organisers provide aid stations, a generous cut-off time and entertainment along the routes. Road closures are planned for selected sections of the course. The event village at Dorchester Rugby Club acts as the start and finish area and includes stalls, food and post-race activities.
The Hardy Half is organised as a community event run jointly by four local organisations: Dorchester RIOT Running Club, Dorchester Lions, Dorchester Rugby Football Club and Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary Club.
