Happy Steps 5K
The Happy Steps 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 on Sullivan's Island and uses The Island Club as the start and finish location. The event is organized to support Camp Happy Days and families affected by childhood cancer and is held in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
This is a timed 5K run/walk. Official race times are provided to participants. The event includes an afterparty at The Island Club with food, drinks, raffles, auction items, music, and race awards, with proceeds benefiting Camp Happy Days and the families the organization serves.
Entry is available for individuals or teams. Published registration fees are $45 for early bird registration through August 18, $60 beginning August 19, and $15 for ages 17 and under. Race packets are available for pickup on Friday, September 18 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fleet Feet, 881 Houston Northcutt Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Packets include a race bib, event t-shirt, and event details; morning packet pickup is also offered at on-site registration.
Sponsorship opportunities and fundraising options are part of the event. Fundraising proceeds support year-round, cost-free programs for children affected by cancer, and the individual or team that raises the most will receive a special prize.
