Happy Days 5K
The Happy Days 5K and Youth Fun Run take place at Elmcrest Park in Ramsey, Minnesota on September 12, 2026. The event is part of the Happy Days festival; after the runs the main festival area in the COR across from City Hall on Sunwood Drive NW hosts a parade, expo, food trucks, kids’ activities, live music, and fireworks.
The 5K uses a USATF-certified course that follows a mixed park and residential route with a few gentle hills. Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top male and female in each age group: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and above.
The Youth Fun Run is for children ages 9 and under. Runners are grouped by age; the younger group runs about 100 feet and the older group about 175 feet. The Youth Fun Run finishes at the same line as the 5K and follows the completion of the 5K.
Registration opens in early January and continues until race day with tiered fees. Early registration includes a shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for late or day of registration.
