Hanover Firecracker Run/Walk
The Hanover Firecracker Run/Walk takes place on July 4, 2026 in downtown Hanover, Michigan, at 104 Main St. The event offers multiple distances: a USATF certified 5 Mile run that starts and finishes on Main Street, a 3.1 Mile 5K walk on an out and back course, and a free kids fun run of approximately 3/4 kilometer with awards for all children ages 12 and younger. The races are chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results are posted live during the event.
Tech shirts are offered; only 200 shirts will be printed, after which a no shirt price applies. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and a New Years pricing rate of $20 is valid from January 1 to January 15. Other published fees include $25 until July 3, a no shirt option at $20 until July 3, and $30 on race day. Packet pickup and registration are available on July 3 and on race day at 104 Main St., Hanover. Awards are presented overall and by category, including Masters (40+) and Senior Masters (60+) for male and female, and top five finishers in each age division for both run and walk.
