Hanover Firecracker Run/Walk
The Hanover Firecracker Run/Walk takes place on July 4, 2026 in downtown Hanover, Michigan. The USATF certified 5 Mile run starts and finishes on Main Street. The 5K walk is an out-and-back course.
Distances:
- 5 Miles USATF certified run, starts and finishes on Main Street.
- 3.1 Miles 5K walk, out-and-back course.
- Kids Fun Run approximately 3/4 K, free for ages 12 and younger.
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Special New Years Day pricing of $20 is valid January 1 to January 15. Regular entry fees listed by the organizer include $25 until July 3, a no-shirt option priced at $20 until July 3, and $30 on race day. Only 200 shirts will be printed; after that the no-shirt price applies.
Packet pickup and registration occur Friday, July 3 at 104 Main St., Hanover, and race day packet pickup is available at the same address. The event is chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted live during the race and online.
Awards are given for Run and Walk overall, Masters (40+) and Senior Masters (60+), and top five finishers in each age division by sex. Run divisions span from 12 and under up to 75+, and walk divisions span from 0-19 up to 70+. No dogs are permitted at the event except service dogs.
