Hankley Common 10km

This is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Hankley Common Lower Car Park, Elstead, Surrey. The route covers 10 km on trails through an area known for rare wildlife and historic features, including a reinforced concrete replica of a section of the Atlantic Wall in a place called the Lion's Mouth. The common is an active MOD training area and has been used in films and TV.

Event details

The run is led by an experienced guide and coach. It is organised as a group run rather than a race; participants should be able to maintain an average pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) on trails for prolonged periods. A full kit list is provided, and participants can trial head torches and trail shoes supplied by the organiser. The location is easily accessed by car, with parking available and approach from the A3. The listed sessions for January and March 2026 currently show tickets as sold out.
