About the race
Location: Hankley Common, Elstead, Surrey. Distance: 10km. Description: A guided trail run starting and finishing at Hankley Common Lower Car Park.
The route traverses Hankley Common’s trails, known for wildlife and a World War II Atlantic Wall replica (the Lion’s Mouth) built by Canadian troops to train for D-Day. The site is an active MOD area, sometimes with camouflaged personnel, and has film connections (Bond, Avengers). The run is a group, non-competitive experience, suitable for first-time trail runners, with head-torch options and kit provided (Silva torches).
