Event overview
The 43rd Annual Hangover 5K takes place on January 1, 2026 in Westfield, New Jersey. The event is held at Tamaques Park, 1081 Lamberts Mill Road, and uses a USATF certified course through the park and surrounding neighborhood with flat, tree-lined streets. The program includes a 5K event and an Adaptive Athlete 5K.
Registration, logistics and prizes
Registration is online only and closes on December 24, 2025 or earlier if the field reaches a cap of 750 runners. There is no race day registration and no refunds will be given. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a custom hooded sweatshirt. Packet pick-up is available on race day; parking inside the park is limited and on-street parking is available nearby. Post-race refreshments will be provided.
Awards are given for overall male/female, overall wheelchair male/female, masters male/female, and age-group places. Age groups are 9 and under; 10-13; 14-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; and 90 and over. No duplicate awards will be issued.
