Diablito 50/50

The Diablito 50/50 takes place at Tickfaw State Park in Springfield, Louisiana. It features two distances: a 50K and a 50 Miler. Both races start at the same time.

The course uses a 5-mile trail loop called the River Trail, which runs along the Tickfaw River. Runners will pass through cypress/tupelo swamps and other ecosystems. There will be two aid stations on the loop. One, at the halfway point, is unstaffed and will have water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice. The main aid station at the start/finish will have ice, electrolytes, water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food. Organizers note that poisonous snakes and alligators may be on or around the trail.

The total event cutoff time is 14 hours for both distances. Lodging options are available within the state park, including improved and unimproved campsites, as well as cabins. Registered participants receive a t-shirt, headbands, and a cooling car seat towel. All finishers get a medal, and the top three male and female runners in each distance receive a custom award.
