Hammond Firefighters 911 Memorial Run
The Hammond Firefighters 911 Memorial Run takes place on September 19, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana. The event offers two distances and begins and ends at Cate Square Park in downtown Hammond. The course is described as flat and scenic, running from Cate Square Park to Southeastern Louisiana University, around the university campus, and finishing back at Cate Square Park.

Registration opens on May 15 and closes on July 1. Entry fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 1 Mile. Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for September 17 and September 18 at Perfectly Fit; race day packet pick-up is available at the event.
All finishers receive medals. The event is a timed race. 5K awards include top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top 2 in each age group: (13 & Under), (14-19), (20-29), (30-39), (40-49), (50-59), (60-69), (70+). 1 Mile awards are given to the overall first place male and female finishers. Entry fee includes a T-shirt; the T-shirt order cutoff date is August 24, 2026.
