About the race
Hamilton Island Hilly Half Marathon is a rugged island race on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef. Part of the Hamilton Island Endurance Series, the event offers a full-length option around 24km with challenging uphill and downhill sections, plus a team relay and a junior program with three kids’ distances. The course weaves fire trails and walking tracks through the island’s undulating interior, offering ever-changing terrain and scenic views.
The weekend includes race pack collection, a pre-race parkrun, and family-friendly activities. Special features include complimentary Cruise Whitsundays transfers for competitors, island hospitality, and medal presentations after the race.
