Anaconda Whitsunday Trail Fest : Airlie Beach QLD
The Anaconda Whitsunday Trail Fest takes place in Airlie Beach on Sunday 13 September 2026. The event marks its 20th year and is organised by the Whitsunday Running Club, which has run the festival for the past decade.
The festival features multiple trail and beach races along the Airlie Beach foreshore and into the nearby Conway Circuit National Park. Race pack collection and late entries are available at the race precinct the day before the event. Presentations for top finishers occur after the races.

The WTF58 is an out-and-back course that ascends into Conway Circuit National Park. The first 28 km are self-supported until the Brandy Creek checkpoint. Surfaces include fire trail and narrow walking tracks with steep sections, rough terrain, and creek crossings. The WTF28 is a point-to-point run from Brandy Creek to Airlie Beach with mandatory gear checks at race pack collection and minimal water stations along the trail. The Honeyeater 11k gains elevation to a lookout over the Coral Sea. Age minimums apply for some races.
Entries include an event shirt if entered by 30 June 2026, a finishers medal, and a numbered bib. Sponsors include Anaconda and Bendigo Community Bank. Fundraising for SES is listed with a stated goal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
