Event overview
The Anaconda Whitsunday Trail Fest is a trail running event organised by the Whitsunday Running Club. It takes place in the Whitsundays region and finishes on the Airlie Beach foreshore. The course passes through the Conway Circuit, part of the Conway National Park ranges. The festival is held annually on the second weekend in September and is scheduled for September 2026.
Races and distances
The event programme includes multiple races:
- WTF58 - 58 km Ultra
- WTF28 - 28 km trail
- Honeyeater Shokz Challenge - 11 km
- Kids Beach Bash - 1 mile (ages 8+)
- Junior Kids Beach Bash - 700 m (ages 4+)
- Survivors Beach Bash - beach run (ages 11+)
Entries, fees and race pack
Registration opens 1 March 2026. Entry fees listed for 2026 include:
- WTF58: $190 (early) / $230 (late)
- WTF28: $150 (early) / $190 (late)
- Honeyeater 11k: $90 (early) / $100 (late)
- Kids and Survivors Beach Bash events: $30
A late fee applies from 1 July 2026. The race bag for main events includes a numbered bib and pins, a finishers medal, and a Whitsunday Trail Fest event shirt. The event shirt is guaranteed only for entrants who register by 30 June 2026.
Pre-race logistics
Pre-race race pack collection and race-precinct activities are scheduled for the day before the event at the Airlie Beach foreshore and local collection points in Cannonvale. Presentations are planned on race day for top finishers in the listed events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
