Tassal AB Marathon Festival
The 13th Annual Tassal Airlie Beach Marathon Festival will be held in Airlie Beach, Queensland on 18 and 19 July 2026. The festival is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races AIMS and the 42.2, 21.1, 10 and 5 km courses have been formally measured by a B grade measurer so performances can be recognised for record purposes.
Course layouts will be very similar to 2025 with minor adjustments at the start and turnaround points. The Tassal North Queensland Championship Marathon is a four lap off road route run on concrete footpaths and boardwalks, which allows support teams to see competitors multiple times at one location.
The program includes a mixed relay for teams of three with a minimum of one female competitor, where each member runs 1 km. The weekend also features the McDonald’s Airlie Beach Foreshore Magic Mile on the day before the main races.
The region is in the Whitsundays, Northern Queensland and is served by Proserpine Whitsunday Coast, Hamilton Island and Mackay airports, with road access via the Bruce Highway. Event distances include: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
