Tassal AB Marathon Festival : Airlie Beach, QLD
The 13th Annual Tassal Airlie Beach Marathon Festival is scheduled for 18 and 19 July 2026 in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia. The festival is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races and the 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km courses have been formally measured by a B grade measurer, allowing recognised records. The Tassal North Queensland Championship Marathon is a four lap off road event run on concrete footpaths and boardwalks, which lets support crews see competitors multiple times at one location.
The festival program includes a mixed relay with three team members, requiring at least one female, with each member running 1 km, and the McDonald’s Airlie Beach Foreshore Magic Mile held the day before. Races take place along the Airlie Beach and Cannonvale foreshore and Port of Airlie. The region is served by Proserpine Whitsunday Coast, Hamilton Island and Mackay airports with daily flights to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Airlie Beach lies about 150 km north of Mackay and 300 km south of Townsville. Entry categories and fees vary by event and age group.
