Hamilton Eye Institute Race For Sight 5K
The Hamilton Eye Institute Race For Sight is a charity 5K held on March 7, 2026, to benefit the Hamilton Eye Institute Lions Club, a 501(c) organization that provides eye care in the Mid-South region and abroad. Past activities reported by the organizers include examining 156 patients, supporting 94 pediatric strabismus and oculoplastics surgeries in Guatemala, and restoring vision in 24 eyes during a 2025 Cataractathon in Memphis.
The event meeting point is Jones Pond Pavilion at Shelby Farms Park, located across from the Visitor Center at 6903 Great View Dr N, Memphis, TN 38018. Participants are asked to use the Visitor Center parking lot. The course follows the Chickasaw trail; it is fully paved and marked with cones.
Registration options include in-person 5K entries, a student category, a Spirit Runner shirt only option, and virtual participation. In-person registration is listed at $23 with a reduced student rate of $18. In-person entries include an official race t-shirt and a tote bag. Virtual participants receive an official race t-shirt by mail and will be given participation instructions by email.
Awards such as plaques and medals for fastest overall and fastest age group runners and race shirts are distributed at the Jones Pond Pavilion. Walking, dogs, and strollers are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
