Hallucination trail event at Johns Island County Park
Hallucination is a multi-hour trail running event held at Johns Island County Park near Charleston, South Carolina. Runners complete repeated laps of a 2.6 mile cross-country style loop through shaded woods. The loop passes the start/finish area, tent city, and on-site restrooms each lap for easy access to crew and supplies.

- 12 hour
- 24 hour
- 34 hour
Registration includes race entry, event swag, food and drinks, snacks, and primitive camping with bathhouse access. RV hookups with electricity and water are available for an additional fee; 24 RV spots are offered. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration bladder. One aid station at the start/finish will provide common race snacks, hot beverages, and hydration mix. Participants in the longer events must use a headlamp or waist light after dark and are expected to bring spare batteries or backup lighting.
Finishers receive a medal for completing at least one lap; awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each duration. A 100 mile buckle is awarded to those who reach that mark. Registrations made by October 27 include a hoodie in the selected size. The event allows bib transfers via the event platform and has a volunteer program that can earn race entry discounts.
