Hallucination
Hallucination is a multi-day trail running event at Johns Island County Park in Johns Island, South Carolina. Runners circle a 2.6 mile loop on shaded, cross-country style trails that pass the start/finish area, tent city, and on-site bathrooms after each lap. The event offers timed entries of various durations and includes a single fully stocked aid station at the start/finish.
Available durations:
- 34 hour
- 24 hour
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
Registration includes race entry, event swag, food and drinks during the weekend, snacks at the aid station, and primitive camping with access to the park bathhouse. RV hookups with electricity and water are available for an additional fee; 24 RV spots are available. The deadline to register to guarantee a hoodie is October 27. Registration closes November 18.
This is a cupless event so participants must bring their own cup, bottles, or hydration bladder. Night running rules require a headlamp or waist light for the 12, 24 and 34 hour events and participants are advised to bring backup lights and batteries. Finishers receive a medal after completing at least one lap; awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each duration. Runners who complete 100 miles receive a buckle. There is a canopy decoration contest for 2026. No refunds or deferrals are offered; bib transfers and optional race insurance are available.
