Hallucination - Johns Island, SC
Hallucination is a weekend trail running event held at Johns Island County Park. The event offers timed-loop races on a 2.6 mile cross-country style loop with shaded, relatively smooth trails that include some roots. Runners may complete as many loops as they wish within their chosen duration.

Registration includes race entry, event swag, food and drinks, snacks, and primitive camping with access to the park bathhouse. RV spots with utilities are available for an additional fee; 24 RV spots are offered. The race is cupless so participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration system. One aid station at the start/finish will be stocked with common race snacks and hydration options.
Night running requirements apply for multi-hour events and participants must carry their own lights and backups. Awards include a finisher medal for completing at least one lap, top three male and female awards per timed event, and a buckle for runners who reach 100 miles. A canopy decoration contest is planned for 2026. Volunteer service can earn discounted or free race entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
