YMCA Gatorade Halloween Hustle 10K Run + 2 Mile Family Walk
The YMCA Gatorade Halloween Hustle is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Charlottesville, VA. The event starts at the Brooks Family YMCA (151 McIntire Park Drive) and finishes at the Charlottesville High School Track. It includes two distance options:
- 10 km
- 2 miles
Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. The route includes trick-or-treat candy stops and volunteer stations. A post-race party at the Charlottesville High School Track will feature bounce houses for children, a costume contest, awards, and an inflatable obstacle course at the finish.
Logistics and entry
Packet pick-up takes place in the Brooks Family YMCA lobby on Friday, October 24 (4:00–7:00 pm) and Saturday, October 25 (7:00–8:00 am). Walkers who pick up their bag on Friday are asked to bring it back on Saturday for collecting candy along the route.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are tiered by month: 10K : September $55, October $65, Race Day $75; 2 Mile Walk : September $25 per adult, October $30 per adult; children ages 0–12 walk free. Awards are planned for the top three overall male and female finishers and for first male and female in 10-year age groups (under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over). Title and event sponsors include Gatorade and other local and regional organizations. Proceeds support YMCA financial assistance for membership and programs.
