Halloween Haunting
The event takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Springbank Park, Stone Cottage off Commissioners Road. It is a Halloween-themed running event aimed at family participation. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for the best costumes; runners must wear their costume to be eligible.
Available distances:
- 2.3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Kiddy Trot, approximately 250 m
All courses are contained within Springbank Park on the paved pathway system along the river. The certified 5 km loop is rolling; the 5 km uses one loop and the 10 km uses two loops. The 2.3 km follows the complete west loop and will NOT go through the Dam Hill parking lot. Courses are well marked and marshalled.
All pledges from the event go to the London Track 3 Ski School, a non-profit that provides downhill ski programs for children and adults with developmental, physical, visual, and hearing challenges. The school is volunteer-run and relies on funding for operations and equipment.
A souvenir race toque is provided to the first 225 registrants (Kiddy Trot excluded). Brooks Running Canada will be set up on race day and will supply age category prizes. Family in-person registration at SoleScience offers a $10.00 discount per family member after the first fully paid member. Late registration and race kit pick-up are available at SoleScience on the days before the event and on race day at Springbank Park.
Awards include merchandise prizes by age group and draw prizes for participants who are present. Awards will be available at SoleScience until November 24, after which unclaimed prizes will be recycled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
