Halloween Haunting
The Halloween Haunting is a community running event held at Springbank Park in London, Ontario. Part of the SoleScience Race Series, the event features multiple distances conducted on the paved pathway system and roadways along the river. All courses are contained within the park boundaries and are closed to vehicular traffic to ensure participant safety.
Participants can select from the following distance options:
- 10 km: A double loop course on paved roadways and bike paths.
- 5 km: A single loop course using the park's paved infrastructure.
- 2.3 km: A single loop focused on the roadways of the west end of the park.
- Kiddy Trot: A fun run covering the final 300 m of the race course.
The event features a costume theme where runners are encouraged to participate in festive attire. Prizes are awarded for the best costumes, though participants must complete their race in costume to be eligible. Children participating in the kiddy trot receive a goodie bag at the finish line.
