The hall-EAU-ween 5K is a seasonal evening run in Eau Claire held on Friday, October 30, 2026 (new date). The event uses a scenic route that starts at Forest Street Gardens (534 Forest St) and finishes in Phoenix Park (300 Riverfront Terrace). Parking options include street parking or the North Barstow Parking Ramp at 370 Galloway St.
The event is an untimed 5K where costumes are encouraged but not required. A costume contest takes place with judging before the race and winners announced at the finish line. There are spooky areas along the course, and parts of the route are dark; participants are strongly encouraged to bring a flashlight or headlamp to navigate safely. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Children riding in strollers should be registered only if they want race swag or a medal.
Dogs are not allowed for this event. Race day registration is available if space allows. Registration uses tiered pricing with the following periods: Early Bird through July 12, Tier 2 July 13 to August 31, Tier 3 September 1 to October 11, and final pricing October 12 through race day.
