About the race
The ho h-EAU ho 5K is a holiday 5K held Saturday, December 12, 2026, in Eau Claire as part of the Eau Claire Marathon 5K Race Series. The event centers at Carson Park and uses the Chippewa Valley Museum area for the start and finish (1204 E. Half Moon Dr.).
Two managed distances are offered:
- 5K
- Quarter mile kids dash for ages 2 to 8
Parking is available in the Carson Park lot (100 Carson Park Dr.). A trolley provides rides to the start line and runs continuous loops; the walk from the lot to the start is short. Course and event area maps are provided for participants, and packet pickup details are listed as coming soon.
The kids dash is holiday themed and includes Santa cheering near the finish. Children who are registered for the kids run receive their own race packet and medal; registered children may also ride in a stroller during the 5K but should only take their medal after the kids run. If a child rides in a stroller and does not want race swag or a medal, separate registration is not required.
Strollers are allowed for the 5K. Dogs are not permitted for this 5K. Race day registration may be available if space allows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
