Half Marathon-by-the-Sea
The event is a half marathon held in Manchester-by-the-Sea on 09/12/2027. The course passes through the town center and along sections that provide views of nearby freshwater lakes in Hamilton, MA.
Registration opens 09/18/2026 and closes 03/31/2027; the listed registration fee is $79.99. The race uses gun times for scoring in accordance with USATF rules. Award medals are given to the top three men and top three women in each listed age group, and awards must be picked up at the event tent as there is no awards ceremony and awards will not be mailed.
Race-day logistics note that bib number and race swag pick-up is available on race day only from 8:00am to 8:45am. Parking is available near the start/finish at Manchester-Essex High School and at several nearby town locations including Manchester Elementary School, Sweeney Park, and the town tennis courts and turf field.
On course there are six aid stations offering water and Gatorade near miles 1, 3, 5, 7.5, 9.5 and 11.5. Portable restrooms are available near mile 3.5 and mile 9. Bag check is not available. A short unpaved section of about 1/4 mile is on the course and the roads remain open to traffic with local police monitoring; runners should stay to the side of the road.
