Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Richmond, Kentucky, takes place at Whitehall Park. This athletic event offers three different distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All three distances are held on specific out-and-back routes. The 5K and 10K courses utilize a 0.78-mile segment, resulting in a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop. Runners in the 5K complete this loop twice, while those in the 10K complete it four times. The Half Marathon utilizes a 1.09-mile segment, creating a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop that is completed six times.
Participation and Regulations
Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration. Runners can pick up their race packets at the venue starting 30 minutes before the event begins.
All participants are subject to a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Those who complete their distance will receive a finisher medal. While not mandatory, participants have the option to compete for the best costume award. The event is part of the US Road Running race series, where participants can earn points toward series standings. Parking is available near the starting area at the park.
