Alexis Thompson Memorial 5K/10K : Winchester, KY
The Alexis Thompson Memorial 5K/10K takes place on June 6, 2026 at Winchester First Church of God, 2500 Colby Road, Winchester, KY 40391. The event is the 10th annual edition and is held in memory of Alexis to support local children.
Distances offered include:
- 5K 3.1 miles
- 10K 6.2 miles
- Virtual option 5K or 10K on a participant-selected course
In-person registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K; in-person registration closes May 22, 2026. A virtual entry is available with a $25 fee and virtual registration closes June 5, 2026. Virtual registrants who register by May 25 will have arrangements made for a commemorative T-shirt and bib by local pickup or shipping.
The event welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, and dogs on leashes. Proceeds and organizing efforts focus on providing resources to local children, including food, community clothing drives, scholarships to local camps and clubs, and other everyday necessities.
