Medal Madness 5K, 10K and Half Marathon, Concord NC, October 31, 2026
Medal Madness takes place at Vietnam Veterans Park, 760 Orphanage Rd, Concord NC 28027. The event includes three distance options: a 5K, a 10K and a half marathon. Runners should expect a mix of paved surfaces with a short stretch of gravel and dirt.
All participants must register online through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Posted entry fees are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K and $65 for the half marathon. The organizer notes a price increase on the Monday before the race and registration availability was listed as limited for each event.
The race base is listed at the Dogwood Shelter. When arriving, bathrooms are located in the right corner of the parking lot. The course is described as shaded for much of the route.
Course structure and repetitions are specified by the organizer:
- 5K, one out and back segment, 1.56 miles one way, 3.11 miles round trip
- 10K, two repeats of the out and back segment, total about 6.22 miles
- Half marathon, out and back segment 1.64 miles one way, repeated four times
