Event information
The Medal Madness event is scheduled for January 31, 2026 in Concord, NC at Vietnam Veterans Park. The race offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon
All participants must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. Registrations increase in price on the Monday before the event. A series points system, finisher medals, shirts and gear, costume recognition, and awards are listed as part of the event features.
Location and course
The race base is at the Dogwood Shelter, 760 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027. The course is primarily paved with a short stretch of gravel and dirt. The route is shaded and public restrooms are located in the right corner of the parking lot when entering.
Course layouts provided by the organizer describe an out-and-back of about 3.11 miles used by the 5K (one out-and-back) and the 10K (two out-and-backs). The half marathon uses an out-and-back of about 3.28 miles repeated four times. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
