US Road Running - Hudson
The US Road Running event in Hudson, Florida, features several distance options on out-and-back courses. The race center is located at the shelter near the Splash Pad, situated behind the Aquatic Center. All participants must complete registration online through RunSignup, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the designated shelter shortly before the races begin.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 5K: This race follows an out-and-back route completed two times.
- 10K: This race follows an out-and-back route completed four times.
- Half Marathon: This race follows a different out-and-back route completed six times.
The courses follow specific loops, with the 5K and 10K utilizing a 0.78-mile section that creates a 1.56-mile out-and-back circuit. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile section resulting in a 2.18-mile out-and-back circuit. There is a total time limit of three hours and 30 minutes for the completion of all races.
All participants who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal. While not mandatory, the event encourages a festive atmosphere through a best costume competition.
