Holiday Road Race at Rocky Mount
The US Road Running event in Rocky Mount features several distance options for participants, including a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The races are part of a larger series and use specific out-and-back course layouts within the park area at 799 Pennsylvania Ave.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 5K: This race follows an out-and-back loop twice on a 1.56-mile section.
- 10K: Participants complete the same out-and-back section four times.
- Half Marathon: This race utilizes a different 2.18-mile out-and-back course completed six times.
There is a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances. All participants must complete registration online through RunSignup before the event day, as there is no registration available on-site. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race at the start location.
Finished athletes receive a commemorative medal for their achievement. The event also encourages participants to wear costumes, with a dedicated recognition for the best costume presented during the race day festivities.
