Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Bowling Green, Kentucky, features multiple race distances held at 885 Mount Olivet Rd. Participants can choose between three distinct race lengths:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The race environment encourages festive participation through a best costume competition. While costumes are not mandatory, a group photo is taken at the start of the event, and a prize is awarded for the best costume. All participants who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal.
Course Details
The event utilizes an out-and-back course format. The 5K and 10K participants use a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop. For the 5K distance, runners complete the loop one time to total 3.11 miles. Those participating in the 10K complete the same loop twice.
The Half Marathon follows a slightly different 1.64-mile out-and-back course. Half Marathon runners are required to complete this loop four times to fulfill the 13.1-mile distance. There is a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all events.
Participant Information
Registration must be completed online in advance, as there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start.
