Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run
The Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run takes place at Phil Moore Park in Alvaton, Kentucky. The event is scheduled for August 29, 2026.
The main course is a 3-mile obstacle run. The route goes through Phil Moore Park and includes both man-made and natural obstacles. Organizers state the course may go through wooded or overgrown areas. A minimum of 20 obstacles are maintained, though the specific obstacles may change from year to year.
The event is open to participants aged 10 and up. All minors must be accompanied by a participating adult. A free kids' play area is available for younger children, where they can climb, jump, and play. A waiver must be signed by a parent or caregiver for a child to use this area.
After finishing, a wash-off station is available. Participants can also use a nearby creek to clean up. A check-in area is provided for personal belongings like wallets and keys.
