Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run is scheduled for August 29, 2026 at Phil Moore Park, 7101 Scottsville Rd, Alvaton, KY 42122. The event centers on a 3 mile obstacle course and is open to participants aged 10 and up. All minors must be accompanied by a participating adult. There is a free designated kids area for younger children; parents or caregivers must sign a waiver before a child may enter that play area.
Course and logistics
The course includes both man-made and natural obstacles and maintains a minimum of 20 obstacles. Participants will be directed through heavily wooded or sometimes overgrown areas. A wash-off station is available after the finish line, and participants may also return to the creek to rinse off. The organizer recommends leaving jewelry and valuables at home and wearing old clothes and shoes that can get dirty. A registration table will provide check-in for personal belongings. Early-bird pricing starts at $45 and ends on July 4; group discounts apply - groups of 4 or more receive $5 off per person and groups of 10 or more receive $10 off per person.
