Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run
The Family Enrichment Center presents Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run on August 29, 2026 at Phil Moore Park in Alvaton, Kentucky. The event raises funds for child abuse prevention services in South Central Kentucky.
The course is a three mile run with built obstacles and muddy sections where participants navigate slipping, sliding, and splashing to the finish. The event includes both a competitive individual heat, which is limited to fifty runners and does not allow teams, and multiple non-competitive heats. Team entries are available, including prepaid options for teams of four and teams of ten; team pricing is offered for group entries.
The course is designed for participants aged ten and up; children ages ten to twelve must be accompanied by a paid adult participant. A separate Kids Mud Bath is provided free for children nine and under; it features small obstacles and activities, requires a signed waiver, and children should not be left unattended.
Registration opens on May 1, 2026. Early bird registration by July 4 guarantees a race t-shirt in the requested size and a discounted price. Online registration closes on August 28, 2026. Entry fees are non refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
