Garden Spot 5K Run/Walk

The Garden Spot 5K Run and 5K Walk take place in downtown Franklin, Kentucky on August 8, 2026, with an additional Virtual 5K option for participants who choose to run on their own course and schedule. The in-person events are based at Courthouse Square in Franklin, KY 42134.

The primarily flat course carries participants through historic downtown Franklin and into partially shaded residential areas, finishing back at the old Simpson County Courthouse. Awards are presented from the bandstand in fourteen age categories. The finish area and bandstand are shaded by approximately 100 year old maple trees.

All registrants receive an event shirt. For participant safety, animals are not allowed on the race course.

Registration opens May 10, 2026 and closes August 3, 2026. The listed registration fee for each event option is $20.00.
