US Road Running - Bowling Green

General Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Bowling Green, Kentucky, features a series of races including a 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon. This event is part of the US Road Running race series and is held at 885 Mount Olivet Road. All participants must register online through RunSignup before the race, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the event, starting 30 minutes before the official start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the start.
Course Details
The races are conducted on a gravel surface which may influence footing and pace. The courses are designed as out-and-back loops:
- 5K: This distance follows a 0.78-mile out-and-back loop (1.56 miles total) twice.
- 10K: Participants complete the 0.78-mile out-and-back loop four times.
- Half Marathon: This race follows a different 1.09-mile out-and-back loop (2.18 miles total) six times to complete the 13.1 miles.
Event Participation
A variety of awards and points are available through the US Road Running series. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their race. Participants are also encouraged to wear costumes, and a best costume award is presented at the start of the event. The course has a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances.
