P.A.C.E. Marathon and Half Marathon
Warren County Parks and Recreation organizes the fourth running of the P.A.C.E. Marathon and Half Marathon in 2027. The event highlights the communities of Smiths Grove and Oakland in Warren County, KY, and begins and ends at Ed Spear Park.
Distances include:
- 26.2 Miles Marathon
- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon
The route is rural with over 90 percent paved surface and about 10 percent gravel. The course includes moderate hills and several railroad crossings where runners may be stopped; organizers will track stopped time and update final times accordingly.
Registration opens July 17, 2026 and closes March 2, 2027. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $75 for the marathon and $50 for the half marathon. Early packet pick up is available on Friday, May 7 at Ed Spear Park; participants who cannot pick up early should plan to check in on race day.
All participants in the half marathon and marathon receive a shirt. Marathon and half marathon finishers receive a unique medal featuring the two communities. Awards are distributed by age and gender categories. Proceeds benefit Friends of Warren County Parks and Recreation, a 501(c)(3) that provides scholarship opportunities for children to participate in sports programs.
