The Medal Madness event takes place on September 12, 2026, at James Martin Trail Park, 829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901. Distances offered include:

- 10K
- 13.1M (Half Marathon)

Course and logistics
The courses use out-and-back segments that are repeated for each distance: the 5K repeats the out-and-back segment twice, the 10K repeats it four times, and the Half Marathon repeats its out-and-back segment six times. The event course is on a pea gravel trail. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies. The location is just behind the Gadsden Mall; participants should note that GPS may direct them to a small building on Old S 4th Street - if so, go south on Old S 4th Street and turn right into the parking lot. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume recognition, series points, and awards are listed as part of the event offerings.
