Race Overview
The US Road Running race in Gadsden, Alabama, is part of a club race series that offers several distances on an out-and-back course. The event is located behind the Gadsden Mall at 829 Old S 4th St. All participants must complete registration through RunSignup as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location shortly before the start.
Course Details
The races are held on a pea gravel trail. The layout consists of specific out-and-back segments that runners repeat depending on their chosen distance. There is a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all events.
Available distances include:
- 5K: Two laps of the 1.56 mile out-and-back route.
- 10K: Four laps of the 1.56 mile out-and-back route.
- Half Marathon: Six laps of the 3.18 mile out-and-back route.
Participation and Awards
All finishers receive a medal for completing their race. While costumes are not required, participants are encouraged to wear them, and a group photo is taken at the beginning of the event.
