Race Information
The Gobbler event at Panama City Beach takes place at Conservation Park. The race headquarters and starting line are located at the Conservation Park Trailhead on Conservation Drive. All participants must register in advance through the designated online portal, as there is no registration available on the day of the event at the park. Packet pickup occurs shortly before the race begins.
Event Distances
Participants can choose from four distinct distances based on an out-and-back course format:
- 5K: One lap of a 3.11-mile out-and-back course.
- 10K: Two laps of the 3.11-mile out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four laps of a 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
- Marathon: Eight laps of the 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
Course Details and Regulations
The event has a total course time limit of 6 hours for all distances. The routes are managed on park trails, with specific GPS coordinates provided for the trailhead area. All finishers receive a medal upon completing their designated distance. Participation in the event contributes to the US Road Running series points standings. While not a requirement for participation, the event features a best costume competition for runners who choose to participate in themed attire.
