Bay and Walton 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Panhandle Bay and Walton 5K is a season closing event held in Panama City on November 14, 2026 at HG Harders Recreation Complex. The event is a celebratory 5K (3.1 miles) that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and a shared finish line experience.
All program participants receive a commemorative medal. Coaches are pre-registered and will have bibs for their teams. Community runners and other nonprogram participants may register; early bird registration is priced at $20 until November 12, 2026 and late or same day registration is $25, with shirts not guaranteed for late registrants. Every 5K registration includes a t shirt, and program girls who already receive a program shirt may purchase an extra 5K shirt during registration if desired. All participants must be registered and complete a liability waiver.
The event is designed to be accessible; participants can walk, run, push or roll the course and designated accessible parking is available. Safety measures include required race bibs, a running buddy system, course monitoring and head counts, and a trained staff and volunteer safety plan. Volunteers will undergo a background check and may serve in roles such as registration, course marshals, water stations, cheer stations and event setup or teardown.
