Race Overview
The US Road Running event in Temple, Texas, features several distance options staged at Wilson Park. This athletic gathering is part of a larger running series and provides an organized environment for participants to complete various road courses. The start line is located adjacent to the Wilson Park Recreation Center.
All participants are required to register online in advance, as no on-site registration is provided on the day of the event. Packet pickup is scheduled to begin shortly before the races commence and concludes just prior to the start.
Course Information
The event includes three primary distances, all utilizing out-and-back course designs along the local paths:
- 5K: Participants complete one out-and-back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Participants complete the out-and-back loop twice.
- Half Marathon: Participants complete a specific out-and-back loop four times for a total of 13.1 miles.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all distances.
Participant Details
Finisher medals are awarded to all runners who complete their respective distances. While the event focuses on running, it also encourages community spirit through an optional best costume competition.
