Event details
The Medal Madness event takes place March 28, 2026, at Clawson-Burnley Park in Boone, NC (355 M.L.K. Jr. St, 28607). The program includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1)
- Marathon (26.2)
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. A packet pickup period opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. The course time limit is 6 hours.
Course information and logistics
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course described as 3.11 miles for a full out-and-back segment; the 5K completes that segment once and the 10K completes it twice. The Half Marathon and Marathon use an out-and-back course described as 3.28 miles for a full out-and-back segment; the Half Marathon repeats that segment four times and the Marathon repeats it eight times.
