US Road Running - Bel Air
The US Road Running event in Bel Air, Maryland, offers a selection of distances on an out-and-back asphalt course. This event is part of a larger national running series and includes distances for several experience levels. Participants can choose between three specific race lengths:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The 5K and 10K participants utilize a 0.78-mile out-and-back loop, totaling 1.56 miles per lap. Runners completing the 5K finish two laps, while those in the 10K finish four laps. The Half Marathon follows a slightly different 1.09-mile out-and-back circuit, requiring runners to complete the loop six times to reach the total distance.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all distances. All competitors receive a finisher medal upon completing their respective races. The event also features a best costume competition, though wearing a costume is not a requirement for participation. Registration must be completed online in advance through the designated platform, as there is no registration available at the venue on the day of the race.
