US Road Running - Fort Smith
The US Road Running event in Fort Smith, Arkansas, offers various paved distances as part of a recurring club race series. Participants can choose between three distinct running distances on the day of the event:
- 5K: An out-and-back course completed two times.
- 10K: An out-and-back course completed four times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back course completed six times.
The event utilizes specific out-and-back loops for each category. The 5K and 10K participants use a 1.56-mile return loop, while the Half Marathon follows a 2.18-mile return loop. All participants are subject to a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race, starting 30 minutes before the official start. Parking is available in the lot located across from the local playground at 7200 Zero St.
All finishers across all distances receive a medal. The event also encourages participation in a costume contest, with a group photo taken at the beginning of the race and awards provided for the best dressed runners. Membership in the US Road Running club is not required to participate, though members may receive specific series points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
