Tuscarora Half Ass 25K & 15K
The Tuscarora Half Ass 25K & 15K takes place June 12, 2027 in Newville, Pennsylvania. The races run on trails through Colonel Denning State Park and adjacent Tuscarora State Forest and use a shared opening route before the courses split.
Distances:
- 25K: over 4,000 feet vertical gain, adds a 10K eastern loop.
- 15K: nearly 2,700 feet vertical gain and a valley view from Flat Rock Vista.
Both courses include multiple aid stations. The 15K has aid at miles 1.75 (water only), 5, and 7.5. The 25K has aid at miles 1.75 (water only), 5, 7.5, 9.25, 10.5, and 14.5. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte option, sweet and salty items, and some vegan choices.
Registration is handled online, with registration opening in November 2026 and online registration closing May 30. The event is limited to 120 total participants; a waitlist may operate and race-day registration is only possible if capacity has not been reached. There is a hard course cut-off and an additional 25K intermediate cut-off.
The race headquarters is at Pavilion number 2 near 1599 Doubling Gap Road. Volunteers will direct parking. The event is organized by Meatball Runners. Registration does not include a standard shirt or swag bag; first-place overall male and female finishers in each distance will receive special awards.
