2026 Shippensburg Turkey Trot
The Shippensburg Turkey Trot is a community festival event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, that benefits the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail and Shippensburg Produce Outreach. The event is part of the Cumberland Valley Race Series.
Distances
- 5K road run, chip timed
- Walk, timed on the same course
The course is a USATF certified 5 kilometer out-and-back road route. It begins in Shippensburg Memorial Park on the road behind the football stadium, travels between the Middle School and the High School, passes behind the High School into the Volvo parking lot, and returns to finish in the park.
Bib pickup is offered on Saturday and Wednesday at the Shippensburg Courtyard by Marriott, 503 Newburg Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Early pickup is noted as a way to avoid standing in a long cold line on race morning; picking up on Wednesday removes the need to check in on the day of the event.
Entry fees listed for the 5K and the walk are $10 each. Race t-shirts are available for an additional $10, with the last day to guarantee a shirt on October 28. Registration is limited to 1000 participants; online registration closes shortly before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
