2026 Shippensburg Turkey Trot 5K
The Shippensburg Turkey Trot is a community festival event held on November 26, 2026, that benefits the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail and Shippensburg Produce Outreach. It is part of the Cumberland Valley Race Series.
The main event is a 5 kilometer out-and-back road course that is USATF certified. The course starts in Shippensburg Memorial Park behind the football stadium, runs between the Middle School and the High School, continues behind the High School into the Volvo parking lot, and returns to finish in the park. The event program includes a chip-timed 5K run and a timed walk on the same road course.
Awards are given to the top overall and masters finishers and to age-group winners in multiple age brackets. Race t-shirts are available for an additional $10; the last day to guarantee a t-shirt is October 31. Online registration closes on Wednesday, November 25 at 8:00 PM and is limited to 1000 total registrants. Race day registration and bib pickup begin at the pavilion behind the stadium.
