Memory Lane Halewood 5k
The Memory Lane Halewood 5k is a monthly 5 kilometre race organised by Knowsley Harriers AC as part of the Halewood series. It is a fully licensed event held on an accurately measured course and described as fast and flat.
The route is an out-and-back along the Liverpool Loop Line, starting and finishing near the Environment Centre in Halewood, Okell Drive, L26 7XB. The surface is all tarmac. The event offers parking, baggage storage, toilets, indoor registration and publishes results online.
Entry to the race is free but a mandatory minimum donation of £3 is required for the organiser's chosen charity; the 2026 charity is Memory Lane Dementia Support. Registration uses a single sign-up for all Halewood series races; entrants should register online and have their details submitted by 6pm on the day before the race in order to collect a number on the day and pay the donation. Club membership is not required. Age categories are determined by age on 1 January in the race year.
The Halewood series totals 12 monthly races. Final standings for series trophies consider runners who have completed at least six races, with each runner's six best finishing times counting towards the overall points. Awards are normally presented the following February.
