Petzl Night Runner Delamere Forest
Round 1 of the Petzl Night Runner Series takes place at Delamere Forest with Event HQ and the start and finish based at the main Visitor Centre. The event is a night trail running race with a Halloween theme; fancy dress is encouraged and the theme for Delamere is "Spooky Halloween". The route is marked with reflective directional signs and the 10k course is one lap while the Half Marathon is two laps.

The terrain is mainly well established trail with some potentially muddy or slippery sections. Runners are required to use a good quality head torch or hand held torch to navigate the route. Grippy trail or fell shoes with an aggressive tread are recommended. As the event takes place in winter conditions, warm clothing and a wind or waterproof jacket are suggested.
The minimum age for the main races is 16 years on race day. Entry fees are listed as £32 for the 10k and £39 for the Half Marathon; entries close at 12 noon on the Friday before the event or when the event fills. Entry includes a custom glow in the dark finisher’s medal, drinks at the finish and at halfway on the Half Marathon, electronic timing, and free downloadable high resolution event photographs.
