Memory Lane Halewood 5k
The Memory Lane Halewood 5k is a monthly 5 kilometre road race organised by Knowsley Harriers Athletics Club. The event has run since 2011 and is held on the first Saturday of each month. The course is an accurately measured out and back route along the Liverpool Loop Line from the Environment Centre in Halewood, Okell Drive, L26 7XB. The surface is flat and all tarmac.
Facilities at the event include parking, baggage storage, toilets and indoor registration. Results are published online. Organisers operate a Sign Up Once for All Races system using online registration; runners must register in advance and have their details submitted by 6pm on the day before the race, then collect their race number on the day and pay the charity donation.
Entry to the 5k is free but a mandatory minimum donation of £3 is requested for the club charity. The chosen charity for 2026 is Memory Lane Dementia Support.
The series awards prizes based on performance across the 12 monthly races. Runners must compete in at least six races and each competitor’s six best finishing times count towards overall points. Awards are normally presented in February of the following year.
