Haitian Hustle 5K - Bemidji
The Haitian Hustle 5K in Bemidji is an annual community event entering its fourth year. The event supports a global cause by providing for the Grace Emmanuel School in Haiti. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to take part in the event, which takes place on the grounds of Oak Hills Christian College.
The course consists of a varied terrain including gravel roads, wooded trails, and pavement. Due to the nature of the trails and gravel, strollers are permitted but models with larger wheels are recommended for better navigation. According to campus regulations, dogs are not allowed at the venue.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km run/walk
- Kids' Races (for ages 10 and under)
The 5 km is an unofficial timed event. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers across the line. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt for those who sign up before the online deadline, though limited extra shirts may be available for those who register in person on the day of the race.
