Bemidji Dragon Boat 5k Run/Walk and Kids Run
The Bemidji Dragon Boat 5k Run/Walk is an annual sporting event held in Bemidji, Minnesota. The event features multiple distance options for participants of different ages:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- .5 km Kids Run
The 5 km course begins behind the Mayflower Building near Paul's Muscle Mecca and concludes by the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues. All participants completing the 5 km distance receive medals.
The .5 km Kids Run is a free event that does not require prior registration. Participants for the youth race can arrive at the start and finish area located near the Paul and Babe statues.
This event serves as a fundraiser for local athletics. All proceeds from the race are donated to support the Bemidji High School and Middle School Track and Cross Country teams. Participants can register online in advance or on the morning of the event at the starting line. Bib pick-up is also organized on the day of the race near the start location.
