The Winter Hains Point event offers road race options of 5k and 10k on January 4, 2026, at Hains Point in Washington, DC. Points from the races count toward the organizer’s Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. Course, fees and race services

The course follows a paved road around Hains Point alongside the river. The 5k is an out-and-back once; the 10k is the same route run twice. The course is described as flat. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1 and 2.1 on the 5k, and at approximately miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2 on the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns will be located near the start/finish area.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. Live results will be posted online with a race QR code at the event; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, plus first and second in listed age categories; overall top three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Registration details note pre-December 15 pricing tiers and a price increase on race morning; there will be no on-site race registration. Packet pickup is available at the event.
