Event Overview
The Hades Climb - Springfield, MO, is a stair climbing endurance event held at the Ozark Mountain Sports Complex in Ozark, Missouri. This event takes place in July and focuses on a looped course format where participants complete as many laps as possible within a specific time limit.
The course is approximately 600 meters in length, which is nearly 1.5 laps on a standard track. Over three-quarters of the route consists of stairs. To track progress, participants ring a bell at the completion of each lap. Each finished loop is also marked with a stamped seal on a unique event medal to record the total distance covered.
Atmosphere and Logistics
The event features specialized environmental elements including sparks overhead and fire elements placed along the course. Music is played throughout the duration of the challenge to maintain energy for the participants. Packet pickup and the event site open thirty minutes before the start of the first challenge.
