Event overview

The Habanero Hundred is a multi-distance trail running event held August 21-23, 2026 at 7IL Ranch in Cat Spring, Texas. The event is held annually in August and offers solo and relay options across a range of distances. The event is chip-timed and provides an event shirt and free race photos for participants. There is a 30-hour cutoff for the main event. The 2026 program adds the Habanero 135, an additional distance with entry by lottery and reserved for experienced ultra runners.

Several events list minimum ages and registration opening on December 1, 2025. Relay entries allow teams to complete the longer distances.

Awards and site

Belt buckles are awarded to 100M and 100K finishers. Medals are given for the 50K, marathon, half marathon, 10K, and relay teams. The race takes place on the 7IL Ranch, a facility of more than 1,150 acres with water, electric, and RV hookups; the ranch opened for public use in 1999.
