Habanero Hundred
The Habanero Hundred is a multi-distance trail running event held August 22-23, 2026 at 7IL Ranch in Cat Spring, Texas (near Bellville). The event offers a range of individual and relay distances on a looped trail course.
Distances include:
- 135M
- 100M
- 100K
- 50K
- 26.2M (Marathon)
- 13.1M (Half Marathon)
- 10K
- 100M and 100K relay
The course uses a clockwise 10k loop on the Yellow Trail at 7IL Ranch, with roughly 280 ft +/- elevation change per loop. Distance totals are achieved by completing multiple loops: for example, 100M equals 16 loops and 100K equals 10 loops. The marathon and half marathon include an initial add-on section before the 10k loops. GPX files and course maps are provided by the organizer.
Support and logistics notes: aid is provided at three locations including a full Start/Finish station with medical support, an unmanned road-crossing water/ice point, and the Hot Tamales full aid station with drive-up access and drop bag service. The event is cupless; runners must carry at least one hydration device with a minimum 500 ml capacity and leave each aid station with a full container. Chip timing, event shirts, free race photos, buckles for 100M and 100K finishers, and finisher medals for other distances are part of the event features.
Pacing is allowed for the 100K and 100M with one pacer at a time and required pacer registration. Venue access and camping are managed at the ranch; runners and pacers have the venue fee included while other visitors must obtain park passes. The organizer highlights August heat and recommends heat preparation; medical staff and local EMS support are available during the event.
