Event Overview
The H-F Beast Obstacle Course Dash is an outdoor athletic event held at 2920 West 183rd Street in Homewood, Illinois. This competition integrates various physical challenges with running segments. Participation is organized into waves that depart at five-minute intervals to manage the flow of the course.
Course Options
The event features two distinct categories based on age groups:
- 1 Mile Course: Participants aged 6 to 14 complete a 1 mile run featuring 8 specific obstacles.
- 2 Mile Course: Participants aged 15 and older complete a 2 mile course featuring 16 obstacles.
Obstacles and Participant Items
The course includes a variety of physical stations designed to test different skills. Specific elements include a tire flip, balance beam, spear throw, stepping stones, and a bucket carry. Use of these obstacles is intended to focus on balance, endurance, and strength.
Registered participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal upon completion of their respective course. In the month preceding the event, a preparatory course is available at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club for both members and non-members.
