Wineglass Race Series
The Wineglass Race Series in Corning, New York is a set of road races organized by Corning Classic Charities. The series for 2026 is scheduled for early October and registration for those events opened December 1, 2025. Events are USATF certified and listed as 2026 sanctioned events.
The Guthrie Wineglass Marathon is a point-to-point full marathon celebrating its 45th year. The course begins in Bath, passes through Savona, Campbell (the half marathon start), Coopers Plains, and Painted Post, and finishes on Market Street in Corning. The marathon course falls within the Boston Marathon net-elevation-drop standard and is used by many runners as a Boston qualifying race.
The series also includes additional distances and challenge options:
- Full marathon
- Half marathon
- 5K
- 8K
- Kids run
Due to the point-to-point layout, full and half marathon participants must take a bus to the start and must show their bib before boarding. There is no race-day bib pick up for those races. The event program mentions an expo, a pasta dinner, training-plan resources, and nearby attractions such as wine tasting, local breweries, shopping, and museums that runners may visit around race weekend.
